A login page that helps visitors install your chat as an app (CodyChat is already a PWA): a real "Install app" button on Android and desktop Chrome/Edge, step-by-step instructions on iPhone and iPad, and a welcome-back note for people already using the app.
What it does:
- One-tap "Install app" button where the browser supports it (Android, Chrome, Edge).
- Clear Add to Home Screen steps on iPhone and iPad, where Safari has no install button.
- Recognises when it is already running as an installed app and says welcome back instead.
- Uses the PWA manifest and service worker CodyChat already ships: nothing to set up.
Also included: works with any site theme (its own class names, so themes cannot repaint it), every text editable in config.php, mobile ready, keyboard accessible, reduced-motion friendly.
Install: upload the AppInstall folder to control/login/, then choose AppInstall as the login page in Admin > Settings. No database changes, no core files touched.
